Rhode Runner on North Main St.

Full disclosure: I haven’t run competitively since high school, and would likely become wheelchair bound if I tried anything longer than a 5k.

Rhode runner on 657 N Main Street in Providence. They do exactly what you’re describing for free.

Rhode Runner, I haven’t been there but I’ve read really good things about the place within the last 3 minutes.

Try on a few pairs of Brooks...they are incredible...ugly...but incredible. I run 3 miles a day 4-5 days a week and they are far and away the most comfortable and supportive

I’ve had brooks in the past and I thinj they’ve been my favorite!! I have hokas right now and my foot like hits the inside of my shoe when I run.

Not in Providence, but I like Yorker Shoes in Johnston. Rhode Runner put me in shoes that didn't work with my supportive insoles. Yorker has a machine that figures out where you foot's pressure points are, they sell insoles, and they make sure the shoe doesn't work against the insole.

Not in Pvd, but the New Balance store at Garden City in Cranston is pretty good.

Since everyone else is gonna say the place on North Main, I'll go with Foot Locker on the 3rd floor of the mall.

Nah. You want somewhere that’s going to truly fit you regardless of brand. Never a single brand store. Rhode runner is the way.
