Hello, I’ve been in Providence for two years now and I’m trying to find a primary care physician. The Aetna website and Google is pretty unreliable unfortunately so I’m wondering if anyone here knows of a good reliable doctor in the area?

Coastal Medical has a large network and plenty of locations — they may be accepting new patients. I go to the Warren Ave office and really like it. I see Dr. Chaudary.

Alternatively, Lifespan has a primary care practice in Warwick that is usually taking new patients. My husband likes them a lot. He sees Dr. Siddiqui.

I had a really hard time finding a PCP. I finally found one through SouthCoast Health—like Lifespan and Coastal, they’re also a large network.

You can call Brown Medicine and find out which of their doctors are taking new patients and at which locations, then read their bios and choose one. It may be a while until you have your first physical, but once you're on the books as a patient, you have access for sick visits and prescriptions if you need them.

I'm a patient with Brown Physicians now and I'm actively looking to get out. They've gotten noticeably worse over the past year, especially the office staff.

You're not wrong. They are short handed and it shows in the admin functions. I like my doctor there though.
