Hi all! Recently moved to a fairly residential area of Cranston and, to avoid being egged by the local youth, I was wondering if anyone knew when exactly local trick or treat is? Id like to be prepared in order to avoid embarrassment. Thanks so much!

Cranston is HUGE. It would help if you were more specific. Edgewood is super kid friendly trick or treating and around Pawtuxet Village is as well.

I set up around 5:30, the youngest ones usually come shortly before dark.

It'll be Halloween night, maybe 4 to 8/9. How many kids will depend on your area

Nobody eggs houses anymore. They will start before sundown and continue until maybe 9. I'm not far away. We get a lot of kids who drive other neighborhoods, making the roads busier than they should be.

Hi OP. I live somewhat near you. Don’t worry you won’t get egged. I’ve done 5 halloweens here and didn’t always have candy. No problems. But I’d be ready for visitors from about 5-8ish if you want to give out treats. Good luck!

I'm not sure if it's the custom where you're from but here, kids will go to the houses that have their front door outside lights on.

Happy First RI Halloween, OP! 🎃

We just moved to the Rolfe Square area as well. The prior owners kindly let us know they usually got 80+ tricker treaters on any given year, so we bought allll the candy in preparation!
