East End! One of the few bars I've been to where you don't get a blank stare and/or a request for the ingredient list.

Thanks! We’ve tried a lot of places and just doesn’t ever work out… blank stares. Once even got a “what the fuck is a penicillin”

For sure. A highly underrated/unknown cocktail! Glad to share the PVD penicillin knowledge. As an aside, I've never been to Courtland Club, but given their vibe and the rep of their drinks manager, they probably could do a Penicillin as well.

Cpurtland Club is awesome and would probably be able to do a penicillin. I haven't been in a bit but if you're looking for good cocktails in that area it's the move. It honestly feels on par with the Eddy for quality of cocktails.

1000% agreed on East End. By far my favorite cocktail bar in RI. When we first moved back after several years in Chicago, I ordered a dealer’s choice “like a Last Word, but with rye and lemon instead”. When they said “oh, so you want a Final Ward?” I knew I’d found the right place

Is that like the drink they give you at the clinic "just in case"?

It’s a cocktail and personally my favorite but moved here and still haven’t found one

Seconding the recommendation for East End! Only other ideas I have would be Red Door and the Providence location of Avenue N (the bartenders there are vastly superior to their Rumford location and their new Honeybird restaurant)

Thanks for this. I recently moved and am struggling to find good places that serve great cocktails, etc
