There's a shop called Aura on Lonsdale Ave on the CF/Lincoln line that has signs up saying they're starting rec sales on Dec 1

Here’s the press release with all the info: https://www.rilegislature.gov/pressrelease/_layouts/RIL.PressRelease.ListStructure/Forms/DisplayForm.aspx?List=c8baae31%2D3c10%2D431c%2D8dcd%2D9dbbe21ce3e9&ID=372704&Web=2bab1515%2D0dcc%2D4176%2Da2f8%2D8d4beebdf488

Dispensaries are able to sell to the public, BUT cities and towns just had the option whether to allow on the ballot. The way it works is each municipality has the option to allow/not allow. Then there’s a whole regulatory thing potential dispensaries have to go through. I don’t think the state has put together the Cannabis Commission yet, and that’s what will decide which entities get the permitting to sell recreational cannabis.

TL;DR - I think dispensaries that are currently selling cannabis to medical patients will be able to sell to the public on Dec 1, but the framework for other retail stores will take a bit.

I just googled it because I couldn’t remember. It’s six, but that’s still awesome! Way lower than I’d have expected.

Here are the six: Barrington, East Greenwich, Jamestown, Little Compton, Scituate, and Smithfield.

Ew, why bother with nova's moldy weed when you can go next door to zahara and get better, cheaper weed?

Stay away from Zahara that is near Nova. That place is horrible. The bud tender reduced a bud to dust so she could make the .2 grams she need to make a eight that I bought. Horrible customer service.

Same. Nova gets slammed, a while back my partner dropped me off outside on the road and I walked up to get in line, kids working the (full) parking lot saw me walking up and told me I had to get in a car and get in line (easily 20 cars deep) to get in. Told him to fuck himself and walked over to Zahara, was very nicely surprised at it and will probably just go back there instead if I'm in the area instead of Nova. Good selection, prices include tax etc.

Been to Zahara a few times now after Nova being way too crowded / lines etc and was pleasantly surprised. Give it a look if you're in the area.

Best time to go to Nova is first thing in the morning, if you can.

I also don't get the problem with walk ups. I get they don't want people parking on the streets but if someone wants to walk, bike, or needs to get a ride there they should be able to do so.

Yeah it seemed pretty nonsensical to me, we were in the area running errands, there was a big line of cars, I got out and partner drove off to go shop while I waited in what I presumed to be another line of standing customers after the cars parked. They wouldn't even let me in that line. Seemed like bullshit so I was pretty rude to the guy. Anyway walked over to Zahara and liked what I got for the price / the service was good so I was happy. If I am buying up that way I will go to Zahara when I am and hopefully a good dispensary opens closer by in South County sometime.
