Just moved here this week. Any recommendations on where to find queer friends. Businesses i should support

A plus if any of them are hiring, but I just want to make friends in the area.

Haus of Codec runs queer art marts frequently!

Not to use hyperbole but most venues in the city. Look for show fliers in real life and on Instagram. Punks shows happen normally 4 days a week in a handful of regular places and 100% are queer friendly. Welcome home.

I am not part of the queer community myself, but have found that Providence Bike Jam (every third Friday of each month, but this month their "Cranksgiving" is this Saturday instead) has a very large queer contingent that makes the jams so much more lively/bright/fun (the right adjective escapes me). Check them out!

The Dark Lady is great. There are other gay bars more geared towards gays, Dark Lady is more geared towards the gay/queer/trans-side, very fun atmosphere the few times I’ve been.

They used to have fun punk shows sometimes, but I don’t think they’ve had any in a while.

Skervy Dog is a great punk dive, very welcoming to any/all.
