Dog sitting in Providence

Hi there, my name is Julia and I live in Providence. I am looking to dog sit starting at the beginning/mid January. I am finishing up nannying for a dog that I have watched for a few months now, and am looking for new clients. I have 1 year of professional experience working at 2 different doggy daycares, and around 6 years of experience taking care of dogs for personal clients. I love taking care of animals, it is my passion! I grew up with 2 cats and a dog, and combined with my other experience, I have plenty of knowledge on pet care. I would make a poster/flyer and ask some local coffee shops or co-ops near you to pin it to their bulletin boards. You might be able to find someone near you instead of doing it here..

I live in an apartment and I care for dogs in my home, but I can drop into the dog’s home for visits if needed.

I could have used your services yesterday. I’m going away for 2 months and was looking for someone to sit my dog after my now ex-dog sitter decided to cancel on the eve of my trip. When I’m back in Feb, I’ll be traveling again soon after.

Just my opinion but I think your decision to get a dog was extremely irresponsible.

I adopted my dog when I was staying in Puerto Rico from a woman who didn’t want her anymore. I was in PR because I didn’t want to stay in NYC during the pandemic. Then I moved to RI because my remote job didn’t want me to stay in PR. I couldn’t leave my dog in PR because there like 2 shelter facilities in PR and there are a lot of strays in PR, if I give my dog to someone, she will most likely end up a stray. So I paid about 3k to have my dog shipped to the states. I had to pay 3k because she’s half Pitbull, so no airlines would take her, I had to book carrier that specializes in shipping pit bulls. I’m going away for 2 months because I need to plan my wedding in Domincan Republic which takes place in august. My sitter bailed on me so I ended up paying 7 grand to board and have my dog trained while I’m gone. So before you call anyone irresponsible maybe you should find out what’s going on. Thank you.
