Anyone else experiencing major delays on the commuter rail to Boston this week?

It’s taking 3 hours today because of a dead train. They let us off in Sharon, then put us on yet another dead train that’s moving 10mph.

This is unacceptable. What can we do??

I miss the days when you could apply for a refund of your ticket price if the train was over 30 minutes late. It is bull shit that we have zero recourse now.

Update 3 hours from PVD to Back Bay and we’re still not at South Station. What a fucking mess.

I almost always take the Amtrak if I can help it. The commuter rail takes twice as long on a good day. The monthly passes are only a little more expensive than what the MBTA charges, but the downside is you have less trains during peak hours.

How much is the Amtrak monthly pass? I might have to commute to Boston 2x a week soon.

Right now from PVD to BOS it's $348, but it's only worth it if you use it at least 15 days a month. Otherwise just grab ten-packs at $139 and burn through them as you need them.

That commute is a killer even without delays. Realistically, the best thing you can do is find a job closer to home or a home closer to your job.

The commute has been fine for a month or so. Zero issues at all.

I mean, clearly you’re not all set. You’re here complaining about the commute.
