And they have that Hanju kitchen working out of there that looks delicious. You’ve given me yet another reason to check out the Royal Bobcat

In addition to Courtland Club and Royal Bobcat - The Walnut Room.

Walnut room has live music?? What nights?
JohnProvidence t1_j0cctga wrote
I don’t think they have a standing night for jazz or live music. If you follow their IG account you’ll see them periodically post live music event info.

Wait, are you saying Courtland is open again?!

It is and it's just as cool now as it was pre pandemic

Marty Ballou brings an A-list trio (or more) most Tuesdays to Nick-A-Nee's. 8pm, free. Tips appreciated.
It's also Taco Tuesdays, and they're good. It's a "heavenly dive bar".
There's also jazz there on the 4th Sundays, 4-7pm.
The Royal Bobcat and Courtland Club are cool, but the music is better at Nick's.

Any time Marty is playing, it's beyond worth it. A fabulous bass player.

I think Red Door does jazz nights on Mondays. Their event calendar is listed on their site.

Yes, Duke Robillard just played there and I think he is scheduled there for more Mondays.

Chan's in Woonsocket used to get national names. Haven't gone in years though.

Would love to know the same. Where are the musician bars?
FriarCeltEDubs t1_j0bflfi wrote
This is a little ride but the Side Door in Old Lyme Ct is a jazz only club. Kind of equivalent level acts to Scullers or the old Regatta Bar in Cambridge. Providence does have jazz here or there, but not really a club that just has jazz, so throwing it out there. That being said, Royal Bobcat, Courtland Club, Nick a Nees as others mentioned.

Borealis in Bristol often has a jazz trio perform. Usually Saturday nights. They serve cocktails now that they got their full liquor license.
