Very poorly enforced. I still have wine shipped to my address monthly. Have for the last two years.

Are you reaching out to vineyards directly? Whenever I try to have wine shipped (online purchase), I always receive the message stating they're unable to ship here. Goddamn liquor lobby!

No, it's a bluetooth speaker/audio products company. Good guess though.

More likely it hurts the tax coffers of the state

Not really, it’s part of the “blue laws” and related issues. If anything the state would collect more tax since most sites now require collecting local tax. It would hurt local businesses who can’t compete with the prices however.

Tell us, stranger, what language do they speak on this Island of Rhode? Do they drive on the right or the left? And what foods to they eat there....we have heard tell of quahogs, stuffies, something called cabinets, and a syrup made of coffee.

I believe the main issue they are worried about is the treacherous 5 day ocean voyage to get from mainland USA to Rhode Island. It's simply not cost effective to deliver packages there.

The amount of times I heard this while living in California was astounding. Like I couldn't sit here and name all 50 states, I've lost too many brain cells for that. But if you said any state name I'd know it's a state.

I was renting a car once in California and got asked if I had the same president. The clerk didn’t recognize my license as being from the United States.

What company is this?

3

dontbitelee OP t1_j0rcol5 wrote

Soundcore, they make audio tech products (I didn't order with them anyway since they're owned by Anker).

commandantskip t1_j0rtw1b wrote

Does Anker suck?

1

dontbitelee OP t1_j0s8iv5 wrote

Anker is a Chinese held company that has some red flags re: data collection and privacy. They also own Eufy security door cams and recently had a big leak of data that they 'weren't collecting' (if you google 'eufy' it'll come up on the first page). So... not nestle bad, but easy enough to buy a BT speaker from someone else.

longislandtoolshed t1_j0sz1ih wrote

I have a great set of Anker soundcore noise cancelling headphones and a nice Bluetooth speaker from them too. Very budget friendly, no complaints.

I just ordered my soundcore earbuds from Amazon (I think.. or maybe eBay). Can confirm they did arrive to me here in RI. Lol
