NYE takeout feast?

This sub has really delivered on food recommendations so far, so I'm throwing out another one. Any recommendations for great takeout on New Year's Eve? We have a baby so won't be going out, but would still love something somewhat special/fun for NYE. Taking the baby to "Noon Year's Eve" at the children's museum during the day, so thinking maybe Xaco Taco. Any other ideas?

Just a general piece of NYE takeout advice - order much earlier than you normally would if you want to have it at a certain time, and pickup if you can because deliveries are usually very slow on NYE due to places being bombarded.

Learned this lesson years ago the hard way when Chinese took 4 hours to come and we didn't plan for that!

Very good advice! I used to work at a Chinese restaurant packing takeout and once 5pm rolled around we’d answer the phone by saying the wait was three hours.

We've actually switched to picking it up the day before and re-heating on NYE; had a 3 hour experience a few years back.

Idk if Los Andes is doing anything for prefix take-home meals for NYE but I'd recommend them any day of the week after their thanksgiving take-home meal. Preordered a few weeks in advance and took home some of the most insanely delicious prime rib (tender enough for the kiddo's pallet as well!) with probably 4 or 5 sides.

Even if they're not doing pre-fix, I'd absolutely get their take out regardless.

Durq’s has some good options for NYE starting around noon. They have an all you can eat option - if that’s your jam, plus some specials.

DURKS New Years Eve options are for dine in, can't really get an all you can eat buffet to go. The Beef ribs can be ordered to go though.

And they are kid friendly so you can bring your kid too. But their take out is phenomenal so enjoy dinner at home with the little!

Get a crazy Khmer platter from Pailin. It’s fantastic, unusual, not very expensive, and really delicious. You won’t know what half of it is, and you won’t care (there’s no mystery meat or anything weird). Just call them and tell them how many people you need to feed.
