If you keep walking past the Strand, you will end up in Kennedy Plaza, the main street bus area. To the left is the Alex & Ani ice skating rink. They used to have ice bumper boats, but I'm not sure. You could also walk comfortably to the Providence Place mall, if the weather isn't great. Across the street from the Strand is Friskie Fries (loaded fries shop) and a brand new Boba Tea/Mochi donut place ($$). After the show, late night eats can be hard to find, but you can see if Haven Bros is setup outside of City Hall on Dorrance st. Preshow, I highly recommend Mokban on Westminster Street (Korean). Have fun at your show!

Add pizza strips, coffee syrup, Del’s, chowdah, and New York System for the win.

I'd just walk around downtown and make my way over to south water street and the east side. Lots of history, shops, interesting people, etc.

It's going to be raining this Friday and Saturday. Following up on the plant theme, and since you have a car, check out Logee's nursery in Danielson, CT. It's another expansive fragrant warm place that is wonderful on miserable winter days. It's good for an hour or so, and it's hard to resist buying one or more of the the plants they sell.

Will you have a car? Even without one, you could uber over to Roger Wms Park to the glassed-in botanical gardens (cross the threshold and you're in Tahiti; the citrus trees will be in bloom by then). Then hike over to the Natural History Museum and Planetarium, then hike out the Elmwood entrance to eat at Apsaras, then uber back downtown.
Other non-uber activities: RISD museum. Hike the length of Benefit St for the architecture and stop at Prospect Park for the view.
If it's nice out, hike from downtown up Wickenden to the pedestrian bridge into India Point Park on the bay. Wander through that toward the Seekonk River reading the historical placards along the way and wind up at the brewery there at the edge of the park, then make your way from there (short walk) to Ives St and choose any of the little eateries there.
Foul weather: RISD Museum then Athenaeum then the John Hay Library at Brown. If you're into swords and armor, ask there if the AnnMarie Brown Memorial collection is open.
