My name is Trevor and I’m the lead singer of a band from Connecticut and we are looking to book gigs and was looking into what venues are there in PVD. We are a symphonic hard rock group so coffeehouses and traditional bars wouldn’t really work for us. Do you have any suggestions on where to try? Thanks!

Weren't they potentially revisiting the "no covers" thing when someone pointed out it's an awfully convenient way to exclude most hip hop acts?

Oh I’m not sure? I honestly don’t know personally. My friends played there a bunch, but that was all pre-Covid, so maybe they have changed it.

Depending what your looking for Providence/Pawtucket area have plenty of venues. Smaller venues at News Cafe or The Parlour are great spots to have more of an intimate jam sessions. Other spots include Alechemy, The Met, Fete or the Strand. Promomoters like Rambudikon or Top 5 Fiend can help you book some shows.

I think the random band from CT can probably rule out the Met/Strand. Fete at least has the lounge, though I can't recall the last time I've heard about a local show there.
