Over by Garden Grille, Rasoi does a good vegan brunch on either Saturday or Sunday (I forget)

Pianta and Basil & Bunny apparently do brunch on the weekend but I haven’t checked them out myself. Apothica Cafe in Cumberland is incredible. Crazy Burger is definitely an OG vegan breakfast spot too. If you’re willing to head to MA, Sweet Rose Cafe in Fall River is great too. And if you want something quick, Coffee Connection has great vegan options.

Rome point Cafe (in North kingstown) does some straight forward tofu scramble and vegan pancakes if anyones into a casual classic breakfast diner kinda place. Usually some vegan specials too.

Forgot about them! I’ve definitely had a few great vegan meals there.

Thanks for this! My weekend rides take me by there, but I've never stopped in.

Basil & Bunny is super, but last I checked, the brunch isn’t until midday or so.

Yes, most of the vegan brunch sit down spots start at 10 or 11. I didn’t realize you were looking for something earlier than that, my bad.

FieryVegetables t1_j59l5ci wrote

Actually, maybe they don’t, I just assume breakfast is morning. Basil and Bunny tends to call theirs brunch.

I miss Blush so much. It was my favorite for breakfast sandwiches and coffee but my god their pastries were so good.

Sadly I have nothing to offer that hasn't been said already, but I'm going to keep an eye on this thread because I need more vegan places to eat

Apothica Cafe in Cumberland is vegan. Best breakfast burrito of my life.

this place is very good, but pretty pricey imo. not a complaint and i’ll still go there, but i just wish vegans had a place to go for cheap giant breakfasts.

WafflesTheBadger t1_j58cepm wrote

Agreed. Avocados have been one of the few affordable foods so it could be doable.

-avocado toasts -tofu scrambles -protein pancakes topped with fresh fruit -vegan bacon -vegan pastries of course

Is that the coffee shop on the corner, near the barber and the dogfood place?

1

WafflesTheBadger t1_j58cgop wrote

Yes

1

Anonymike7 t1_j58clhs wrote

That's very close by! I'm not a coffee drinker, so I've never been in, but now I have a reason!

1

WafflesTheBadger t1_j58dihs wrote

Their non-coffee drinks are great too! They do tea lattes, herbal drinks, lemonade, etc. And I will say that it's been a year since I went and the prices are exactly how I remember (because I remember complaining to my friend about paying $12 for a little breakfast burrito and then calling her back to be like "nvm I'm magically full")

I would go more if parking wasn't an issue

Louis Family Restaurant! I apologize if this changed in recent years. I’m a lurker who used to live in Providence. But back in the day they would have all their vegan specials on hand-drawn flyers posted around the counter at the restaurant. They had tofu scramble and vegan pancakes, vegan breakfast sandwiches and a bunch more. Their regular menu online looks very not vegan friendly but i remember they were awesome!

waninggib t1_j5b5ql9 wrote

I think they only have vegan granola pancakes now. I haven’t been in a long time.

tofunugget66 t1_j5bj86z wrote

Damn, that's a huge bummer. Their tofu scramble was awesome.

Francesca’s in Pawtucket has some vegan options and you can ask them to make a couple of the dishes under the Mexican breakfast section vegan (like the motuleño). Hudson Cafe has great breakfast sandwiches, but it’s not a sitdown place if that’s what you’re looking for. Others have mentioned Plant City and Pianta – they both are a little pricy for what they are, but the food is good (especially at Pianta).

The vegan scene is pretty good here, but for some reason we’re really lacking in good breakfast options.

ETA: I can’t believe I forgot Rory’s! I’m actually sitting here right now after enjoying a breakfast sandwich LOL

I think Amy’s on Wickenden is vegetarian, they probably have some vegan options.

1

FunLife64 t1_j57ln8r wrote

Vegan and vegetarian are very different in the breakfast world (ie eggs). Amy’s is mostly breakfast sandwiches and buttermilk pancakes. I guess they have smoothies.

6

kermitdafrog21 t1_j57nnmw wrote

Even still, only like half of the smoothie options are vegan. The others have either milk or honey

Hudson street deli has some good vegan breakfast sandwiches/wraps but they’re not strictly vegan.
