Anywhere that is not Jordan’s Jungle or Home Depot/lowes that has houseplants? JJ is way too overpriced for my budget currently.

Keep an eye out for people selling online to on like Facebook marketplace and stuff. Sometimes stuff is marked up but other times there are good deals
If you have any friends who have houseplants, it's just a matter of time until one of them will be happy to give you cuttings that you can root and grow. Buy soil and pots at Job Lot. Avocado pits are instant houseplants. Look online for how to grow one.
Its only about 45 minutes away, But you should go to Logees, The ULTIMATE plant store in CT
I also am not sure when its opening, but a friend of mine is opening a plant store on Broadway Across the street from Broadway Liqours.
I can just give you some cuttings. I have some rooted monsteras and I need to cut back my pothos and philandendron plants. Let me know!
It is an amazing place - at least as much a museum as a store - but I don't think they're particularly cheap.
Brigg's and Peckham's are both great options! Also there are quite a few facebook groups aimed at selling plants as well! A few groups I know are Plant BST: Rhode Island and Rare + Unusual Plants BST New England!
Thank you!! That is very kind of you. I appreciate it :) I’ll PM you
I always forget about Briggs!!! I haven’t checked it out yet, thanks for the reminder
Ah! That’s exciting!! I’ll keep an eye out
Omg I went to Logee’s only once and was floored with how beautiful it was.
Good idea! Didn’t even think of that.
I also have rooted begonia and another cutting of inchplant that I can give you. :)
Briggs is great and honestly Peckham's is an experience with so many nooks and crannies! The few plants I have gotten from JJ's have either been terribly cared for or full of pests so I just avoid them now due to how overpriced their things are!
There's a local houseplant exchange group on The Face Book. I joined it, but haven't participated yet. They allow for selling, as well as giving away for free.
Also, look into a local Buy Nothing group. I have participated in mine, both giving away and receiving. It's a a very positive worldwide movement!
I joined my group on Facebook. Look yours up here:
Join the facebook buy nothing group in your area. I see plant and cuttings being given away there.
I can second this! I’ve gotten some great plants through Facebook marketplace.
Briggs in North Attleboro! You can get a coffee and wander for hours in there!
I have a basil plant that is struggling but it's been around so long I can't bring myself to use it for cooking . I just give it words of encouragement.🥹
Logees is great, but nearly impossible to duplicate the environment they grow their plants in realisticaly. I get gift certificates often enough, but the plants don't seem to survive.
i hate to jump on to this but I would also friggin love a rooted monstera ...
i have a very light colored arrowhead that flourishes if anyone wants a cutting (':
Or Nextdoor/Oakill Neighbor app!
Neighbors post free plants all the time - I got a smol jade tree recently!
In the summer, Aldi has some super cheap and nice houseplants. Sadly in the winter, they do not have any. If you can hold off you can get huge plants for $15.
I can definitely make some more cuttings of the monstera! I’m trying to keep mine as a nice central stalk but it REALLY wants to grow extra branches so I have to trim it a lot.
I kill all houseplants but I have a ton of different kinds of succulents growing outdoors if you need any. They do fine indoors with lots of sun.
IKEA!
The East Providence Library Weaver branch has a plant "library" where you can get free cuttings.
Briggs is a good place to go. Could spend a good amount of time in there. The cafe is nice.
I am constantly giving my little ones words of encouragement.
Where is the plant library there?! I used to go to that library at least once a week and never noticed it.
Through the front doors then a right to the main area and go all the way to the back right.
I don’t remember how expensive the selection was at Briggs Garden Center in Attleboro but they have a great selection and location. You can stop at a cafe inside the greenhouse and I believe it was more affordable than Jordan’s jungle.
I went in the summer! It was 103 inside the green houses!
