I (f22) been with my boyfriend (M20) for a year now. When we met I was dealing with the truma of SA which he knew about.

Now my boyfriend isn't a sensitive person and I knew this, but I didn't think it would be to this extreme. We got onto a heated argument about Sa and he was going on about how woman don't get penalties for falsely accusing men and I was going on about how men don't get penalties for assaulting woman and it got heated. Anyways it triggered me big time and I ended up having a complete mental breakdown over it.

And he just left me to cry by myself for hours. I went back into the room after asking him to just hug me when I'm upset.

Anyways. I've been laying here for a few hours while he won't come off his game and I ended up crying again more now BC I'm upset he's choosing to play a game over just giving me a silly little hug.

I don't know what to do.

I love with him and can't afford to live by myself but everytime I get sad over anything he is the exact same.

For example when my childhood parrot died he was like it's just a bird

Because he doesn’t want to care about you. It’s not like he’s trying to be caring and is struggling… it doesn’t seem like he’s interested in trying to be sensitive at all. Which, based on what he’s saying, is probably because he doesn’t care about women generally.

This is who he is.

You are wishing for him to be a different person. This is who he is. All the evidence and his actions are saying it loud and clear.

You either accept it or leave. You can’t change him. No one is coming to save you, save yourself and choose better for yourself. Make a plan. Reach out to friends and family for emotional support
