I'm going to skip over why I misjudged my own sexuality and gender because it doesn't feel as relevant. But might need to post explaining it.

I 'discovered' I was pansexual about a year before my partner and I started dating. I had 0 sexual experience and had no experiences to disprove my own sexuality. So when I (male) started dating my partner (female) I told them that I was pansexual. Well after some growing up and 2 years later, I can say with surety that I am a straight man who is just very open-minded and accepting. But to my partner, I'm a nonbinary pansexual. They are also NB pan. I have no issue with the dynamics of our relationship, but I kinda want to be honest that I'm straight up not gay. Im not sure how it would affect our relationship and I don't want my partner to feel like I've been lying, I was just wrong about myself. What would be the best way to go about this?

Just be honest. People go on a journey with their sexuality and gender. It's better to be honest than lie.
