Unless he made a fake LinkedIn profile, it doesn't sound like he lied. It sounds like he just tried to summarize his position and left out some of the details. I think that's ok for someone you just met.

Real estate can be an investment….not sure he lied. 🤷‍♀️

And maybe he didn’t want to have to explain the whole thing. I usually try to be pretty general about my position because it’s pretty niche, most people don’t understand, and then it puts all the attention on me while I explain.

Does it matter? I don’t see how he lied? You googled him before and he checked out. Are you trying to suggest he’s inherently dishonest and deceitful?
