It isn't fate, it's a gigantic mess. Fate would be if you had bumped into her on the street and you just reconnected. You found them on Facebook (which means you were looking for them).

Not fate, you're just another spouse cheating on her husband looking for reasons to try and validate it.

Your main motivation for staying is to preserve a lifestyle with heteronormative privilege. And the moment a woman expressed interest in you, you decided she's the love of your life.
