Do you think he might be experiencing a medical issue that affects his memory? Since this a change, I would explore that possibility first.

If you want to talk to your dad, just call him. Does he have any medical issues of his own? How often do you check on him?

Some people had/have no parents. I sure would have been happy with a call or two from my 'dad' when I needed support but he didn't care about me.

Don't have a mom, either.

You need to tell him how you feel. He can't read your mind.
