Fantastic. I guess Carytown Kroger it is. At least I have a car. Feel terrible for the people with limited transportation who rely on this market.

No need to cross the river. Theres a few Food Lions (Hull St Rd, Jahnke, Forest Hill) a Kroger near Chippenham Hospital, and Publix/Target/Walmart all on Forest Hill.

Shoot, the Lombardy Kroger is closer to Manchester than the Carytown if you still feel like dealing with traffic across the river.

Very true on Lombardy Kroger. Their produce is just trash, so I generally opt to add a few minutes and go to Carytown Kroger. The others work out to be the same, if not longer than just going to Carytown (15-17 minutes). It would be lovely to have something clean and within a 5 minute drive, but I’m not holding my breath.

I work by the Lombardy Kroger and still drive to the Publix on Forest Hill even driving past the Food Lions. But I don't mind the drive. I was hoping with all the new apartments that something would turn into a grocery store, but nope. Manchester Market is just a convience store and I think that's as close as we'll get.
