Hi everyone, I have a friend with a 2-year-old German Shepherd who is very aggressive with other dogs (not people, just other dogs). He is very strong, she is very petite, & she has to keep a pinch collar on him when she walks him; otherwise, she cannot control him. So this is a problem! Would love to be able to recommend a good person who can train this dog to not act so aggressively whenever he happens to see another dog.
Thanks in advance!

I've trained with many of Richmond SPCA's trainers and a behaviorist and found them all to be extremely knowledgeable. After my experiences with multiple different trainers there, I'd trust any of them. It looks like now they even have a class for managing reactive dogs, which would be perfect for this situation.

Maybe All Dog Adventures. If you call and explain they'll let you know if they can help. They do classes but also 1 on 1 for assessments.

Bat-hound K9 Training. Henry specializes in aggression/reactive dogs. Or Calmk9 Dog Training. Calm k9 changed our lives when our dog did boot camp training. Both orgs follow the same training philosophies - balanced dog training with e-collar. Highly recommend for dogs with high stakes behavior issues.

Be careful with e-collar use. It's popular, but positive-reinforcement training should be your first (and preferably only) preference.
