A surprisingly large number. Between Discord, Facebook groups, and Instagram pages you could order from a new place every day and not repeat for weeks.

I don’t smoke, but surely there’s no weed in this planet good enough to sit through that traffic

Not really, but with a caveat. I did a lot of pricing research on the respective "gray markets" of both areas before I started growing my own. DC is the easiest market to get decent bulk pricing without having to look too hard. Richmond, for that sort of pricing, you need an in at one of the more established gray markets here. It can be tough to score an in for obvious reasons.

Yeah, I'm too new to the area. I don't know a soul outside of my jorb.

I mean just goto g leaf and get a med card at g leaf. The have to have a person on site there do to law changes. Or just learn to grow your own it’s better than most of the stuff in the dispo

I'm pretty sure gleaf does not have onsite doctors for prescribing.

It’s not legal to buy in DC or VA unless you have a medical card.

DC has the "t-shirt" loophole. It's not legal to buy cannabis but it's legal to buy other items and receive cannabis with that purchase. No such loophole exists in Virginia.

We have straight up gifting down here, don't we?

If by straight gifting you mean Person X gifts Person Y less than 1 ounce and Person X receives absolutely nothing in return, that is legal so long as it occurs on private property.

sakecat t1_j9t8szi wrote

Nope. They intentionally made gifting for exchange illegal in VA

I love this sub, give an honest and correct answer and get downvoted.

Everyone is so hurt by the idea that selling Cannabis in DC is illegal. Even the “gifting” shops aren’t legal. Why do you think they move around and change names? Because they’re legally operating businesses?

Stoners are such easy suckers.

NYC didn’t have any legal stores either until a few weeks ago. That doesn’t mean you couldn’t buy it.

It’s also not a legal or regulated market. There’s a loophole which means it’s not going away.

Operators won’t get busted like the owner of Happy Trees in DC for running the same scheme.

Lots of what operators are doing in Va isn’t legal (like selling seeds which Happy Trees started doing at their store front recently).

I've literally received obvious weed deliveries RIGHT in front of cops. When something like that is the case, "legal versus illegal" feels like a purely semantic argument, thus masturbatory nonsense.

I mean, as long as only other people are getting arrested I guess right?

In DC? I'm not gonna say it never happens, but it certainly happens dramatically less frequently than it used to.

Legal loopholes are valid until closed. No one said it was regulated, just that it IS legal to gift cannabis with a purchase of non-cannabis items in DC.

They got rid of the cards, all you need is a script from a doctor.
