It’s the truth though, No small business needs some crazy custom hard to maintain web site when square space exists and is literally drag and drop.

They asked about Shopify, not square space... Shopify has a CMS and you can choose many different themes or do custom.

I've been using weebly. You can build it yourself pretty easily and its way cheaper than Shopify
