Hello from my inflamed bronchials. I feel like absolute garbage and would love to hear your tried and true sick day take out meals for when you’re under the weather!

ETA: thanks a ton everyone! I think I have a few days ahead of me to try out several sick day meals.

ETA 2: I just saw the typo in my title and I hate myself.

Pho at Pho Thein Phat! Number 15... Tai. I use it for hangovers, sickness, and even when I "think" I'm starting to get sick.

Yep! Make it super spicy, then put your face over it and breathe in the steam like in Crocodile Dundee!

Came here to say Pho Thein Phat. My favorite pho joint. I miss living close by, but will still always make the trip whenever a friend suggests it.

Pho from pho 79 on staples mills! They have the best broth and the meat quality there is superior to the other pho places in richmond.

I just ate there for the first time 3 days ago, and I don't get it. Got my order wrong, got the person behind me order wrong, got the person across from me order wrong, and there was maybe 10 people in there. On top of that, I didn't really think the phò was all that great. Idk. Maybe I'll give it another go. Maybe I caught them on a bad day.

That's odd, I've been there probably several dozen times over the past few years and not once has my order been wrong. Like you said, you probably caught them on a really bad day.

Tom kha soup (I like chicken) and curry puffs from elephant thai. Soothing And comfort.

Hot and sour soup. Peter chang's is optimal but there's one closer I'm happy enough with. Ever since the one where Galley is now, closed anyhow. They had the best ever. Kept in the lily.

I loveeee tom kha. Is theirs pretty spicy?

Gothmom85 t1_je5djgo wrote

You can adjust the level when you order. I usually get it medium spicy.
