My brother whose birthday is soon lives up in NoVA and is big into history. I’m wondering if there’s any sort of gift I could get him from Richmond given the history of the area, though I’m not really sure what that would be. He also likes trying interesting food, maybe some sort of authentic civil war era food? Just spit balling, I would love to hear any suggestions, thanks!

The Valentine has a great history-ific gift shop. No admission necessary to shop. Also the Library of Virginia and Virginia Museum of History and Culture.
