Diversity thrift and Furbish thrift have a good furniture selection. Family Thrift sometimes has nice stuff like Article at reasonable prices. IKEA mattresses are nice.
Also, if your new neighborhood has a buy nothing group it’s a great way to get what you need and getting to know your new neighbors. Echoing marketplace too.
Also always good to search Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist as many local retailers post on there. Or search "Moving" or "Divorce" if you want to find motivated sellers of preowned sets
Check out the Habitat store off of Chamberlayne. It used to be mostly construction stuff with a bit of furniture, but now it's at least half furniture in good condition.
