Perchloroethylene (PERC) is still widely used and still dangerous.

That’s fine, if true, but perc is also organic. So is cyanide, a potent poison. The term “organic” is meaningless when applied to drycleaners.

You don’t need to pretend you were making a chemistry joke, you very clearly were mocking the idea that dry cleaning uses chemicals.
