Anyone know if the Department of Public Utilities (gas) had meter reading issues this past month? My October bill somehow jumped to $1800… up from $15. No leak that I can smell… Anyway, yeah not paying that. Tried calling but I think everyone clocked out early on Friday afternoon.

I had a water bill be twice as much this month as well. I’m in the middle of figuring it out. I started a thread about it. Everyone thinks it a leak but my meter isn’t moving so I don’t think that’s what it is. I’m having them double check my meter. I’ll let you know what comes of it.

I had a water bill that jumped like that. Tried like mad to get dpu to correct it to no avail. Had to get cbs6 involved for Richmond to remove their THREE THOUSAND dollar mistake

Good luck getting them to fix it. It took me over a year after I sold my house to get them to close my account out and stop sending me bills. It took reaching out over Twitter, the city councilman's office for the district I work in, and emails to people in the mayor's office and the head of DPU herself before they finally took care of it.
