Price is negotiable. I don't need my own room, I can literally just sleep on your floor. I will not be bringing a lot of stuff with me either, so I will not be taking up much space. I would only have one luggage bag where I keep all my stuff. I also know how to cook for myself and I can clean your bathroom. Very likely I will only need to stay for around 3 months. I know it's a shot in the dark but if anyone is offering a place to stay lmk.

You realize you're asking a stranger to let you live with them and have 666 in your username.

You're going to need to prove they're not crazy to everyone get near that situation.

Good luck. When I first moved to Richmond in 2006, I needed a similar arrangement for six weeks, and luckily ended up being offered a spare bedroom in a house in Church Hill.

I think the homeowner saw my post on Craigslist about it, did a quick Google search to make sure I wasn't sketchy, and then the first time we met was at a dinner party he threw so he could get a bunch of different people's impressions of me at once.

Hoping you get lucky like I did.

I like how you cut your target rent number in half in 24 hours. Bold move, padawan; fortune favors the bold.

I felt like it made sense to cut it if I'm asking to sleep on the floor after all. Of course if someone offers a place for more than that price I'll still be willing to take it.

I'm really sorry if I have no perspective on how the rent market works, truth is I've never had to rent anywhere before and I basically need to move asap and I'm having trouble finding options I can afford.

Couchsurfing.com allows you to find a couch to sleep on for a bit but there is a fee now so here are some alternatives

Edit - Should be noted these aren't intended as a long time solution but multiple couches maybe possible or at least give you a little more time to figure out your next move.

Just not the name I'd go with if I'm trying to convince strangers to let me into their homes.

I can't help but notice the same people who are downvoting aren't throwing their doors open for OP either.
