So far, I think Wood and Iron’s Waiver Wire wings were the hottest I’ve had in a while, but even those were more sweet than hot last time I had them. I want my scalp to sweat!! Suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion!
Hasn’t been Caliente in a really long time. Pretty sure they were on Man vs. Food or one of those shows though.
Yup, was man vs food. Also, as of about a year or so ago they had stopped offering them because it typically makes people snot/other fluids which was obviously less than ideal during a pandemic. Might be worth making a quick call before heading there.
Angry hot. It's ok but it wouldn't be anything to anyone who actually likes hot stuff.
Blazin from BWW is by far the hottest I've had at a restaurant.
Everywhere else puts 15 fire emojis on their menus and it's barely even hot.
On a whim, I ordered the "boneless wings" (so, nuggets, really) from Pizza Hut a few months ago and opted for their hottest sauce. Strangely enough, they were really fucking hot. I wasn't expecting them to be that hot, usually national chains are kind of wimpy so that they don't upset any idiots with something that is too hot (like any fast food place with their spicy, but not really, chicken sandwiches).
So there you go. Pizza Hut had some hot ass wings.
you’re not alone, my 18 year old brother (and I, also old) had a hard time finishing those
I got angry hot and I didn’t have to sign a waiver. It was ok, 6/10, not deadly.
Went there about two weeks ago, ready to split 20 wings among friends, when the waitress warned us about how hot the standard Buffalo sauce was. We asked to try it beforehand, being very glad we did, it would have been unenjoyable. The taste was good, but too hot to have more than 2, haha
Adam Richmond was pissed off too because they use capsaicin extract.
Good luck on your quest. It's not hard to make a really hot sauce. Trick is to balance it so it still has flavor and the heat hits your whole body and gives you the sweats.
Yes! Which unfortunately a lot of places don’t realize.
I went to one in Manassas and got the Angry Hot sandwich. They did make me sign the waiver, but I think that's just for show. It doesn't seem hot enough to actually warrant that, but compared to other restaurants' "spicy" food it was actually spicy. I was sweating a bit.
I think someone else mentioned Hangry Joe's. The medium clicked all the boxes for me, but may not be hot enough for a real fan of the heat.
Hangry Joe's Angry Hot is the kind of hot that takes away the taste
Thanks!
Maybe also bc the owner said (on national tv) he has never changed out the wing sauce, just added to it. Gross.
Cocky Rooster also uses capsaicin if you order the wings "overheated" but watch out -- they don't mix it in well with the rest of the wing sauce, in my experience. It's like some cruel afterthought..
Hey wingman OP. Who has the best wings in your opinion? Check out heatonist.com and sauce them yourself.
I have some dehydrated Carolina Reaper peppers I grew. I like hot peppers such as ghost peppers, but these reapers are just something else entirely… No redeeming qualities, just pure hot pain. I took a tiny bite out of one, and it was the most intense uncomfortable spicy experience I’ve ever had. Lasted over an hour and all I could do for relief was suck on ice cubes.
If you want ungodly hot wings, just grind them up and sprinkle them on some regular buffalo wings.
I’ll hook you up with a few reapers under one condition. You have to record yourself eating a reaper wing and post it here on r/rva for us! (or at least give us a report on how it went!)
Hahaha appreciate the offer-I love hot stuff, but I think I’ll take your word for it in this instance.
Buddy of mine ended up waking out of there after eating one. We found him rolling around on someone’s front porch down the street moaning and sweating. Got home and sat in the shower with cold water on crying and chugging pepto.
My wife and I ordered the wings. Had to sign a waiver. We honestly think the wings had moved out of the “challenge” space into the “physical damage” space. People 3 tables over had watery eyes. Maybe people could complete the challenge, but we didn’t even attempt. To be classified as a challenge there has to be some possibility of success. We just didn’t see it.
Caliente did. I watched as a very hung over kid was made to eat them by his friends and he looked like he was gonna die. I think they are an inedible level of hot which kind of defeats the purpose of it being a challenge.
Home team grill - they have the widow maker sauce

Caliente on Park Ave. You have been warned.
Edit: looks like it’s called Shepard street tavern now.
