Depends on the show, of course, but towards the back you can definitely move around. There's also a patio out back :)

It’s small but never too packed. Saw Prince Daddy in May I think and there were maybe 50 people tops. Tables and everything, food isn’t terrible, I just sat at a table and watched. They’re pretty close too.

Don’t know if they have changed things but the stage loadout was terrible last time I went. Like there was a column in the way…

It's sad to say, but it's a pretty terrible place to watch a show. You either get stuck in the sea of folks up front so you can see the band (depending on where you are in relation to the pole) or you hang in the back and can get drinks/go to the bathroom, and not really see the band. Really makes me miss places like S'matter and Alley Katz. Unfortunately, there's not really a better way to set that place up, I miss venues of that size where you can enjoy the band AND get a beer every once in a while, this place seems like it's either/or.

It's fine, I've literally never had an issue. The column is whatever, I've never found it too hard to get around and I've been to crowded shows there.

At least the floor doesn't slope towards the damn stage like at the national.

The fucking pole in the way is insane lol. But other than the camel, national, and sometimes gallery 5 where else are ya gonna see good acts?

OMG. Squirrel Nut Zippers. They kill any venue. Small and intimate is the best.

Long, skinny room, boomy sound and a big pole in the middle of the floor.

I know this is unrelated, but just wanna go on record and say that Broadberry has surprisingly good food. I had a KILLER fried fish sandwich there once- panko breaded, nice kaiser roll, tartar sauce that tasted like it was made in house, with some perfectly cooked/seasoned sweet potato fries.

Get there early and with a group if you plan on keeping your pit space. Or just sack up and move through the crowd to where you want to be. It'll feel like a can of sardines, but that's half the fun. Get to know your neighbors
