No not the folk festival. Seeing hundreds of people in costume. Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter seems to be the theme. All over the place. Grace Street, Franklin Street, Broad Street. 5th through 9th Streets. Clumps of people. Unclear as to where they are going to or coming from. What is this?

This perplexed me last year too. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of Scavenger Hunt, people huddled in groups, dressed flamboyantly, walking and mumbling while staring at screens.

This description isn't at all an odd campus scene for any day of the year.

They started early too. I was on grace at 9;15 am and saw all the nutsy outfits. They were congregating behind the fed court and carpenter center.

I participated in this!

Alice in wonderland themed game. Clued-up used an app to host a geo-based game where we wandered around to activate characters on the digital map.

Overall story was to free Alice from the Red Queen and save her from being beheaded. All-in-all great couple hours, great for families, great exercise, too!

Parking was meh, but in theory you could do this while driving.

Edit; there were prizes for fastest times, I think. I got 2 hrs, 3 min.
