I have a very specific design and wood/stain that I want. I have tried 1 area furniture maker but emails and calls are not returned. Any others in the area? I can go to high end LaDiff or Virginia Wayside (knowing many pieces are sourced locally at these stores) but I’d like to use a local shop or craftsmen/craftswomen if possible.

We used Sallie Plumlee for a custom entertainment cabinet and loved working with her. She had a baby within the past month or two though so it may be awhile until she starts making furniture again.

I can build something for you if you like. I do one off custom stuff via my little woodworking shop here in RVA. PM me.

Try the Crafty Giant in Ashland. He just posted a picture of a beautiful custom order table he made on his FB page, and he’s a super nice man!

Daniel Rickey’s work is incredible, and Daniel is an awesome A+ person. I’m biased because my partner is his wingman, but truly, the work is incredible. Highly recommend. They might have a waitlist but it’s well-worth it.
