Edit: I'm referring to boiled peanuts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOpTaZ8ch6U

Basically the title. I'm not referring to canned ones, I know you can get those in plenty of stores. Also not interested in making my own. I've done it before and I don't want to wait multiple hours for them to be ready.

I've seen plenty of gas stations in various places in the south that do them but none in Chester so far. I don't go many places so I usually wind up at the same 2-3 gas stations and haven't seem them there.

Anybody know where I can get some?

Yep. The ones in the crock pots you can usually find in some gas stations. Like this.

I don't know places specifically but maybe the Peanut Patch Facebook page would be able to help...

One other thing...I know you didn't want canned but Whitley's Peanut Factory in Innsbrook offers boiled green peanuts.

While I haven't had that particular variety, everything else I've had from Whitley's has been absolutely amazing.

I know this isn’t Chester. But there’s a Shell station off exit 227 on 64, it’s next to a McDonalds. That’s the only place I can clearly remember having the crock pot setup like your describing.

Fellow boild peanut efficinado here! Yeah, you're not gonna find them. I saw them in a random station all the way out in Smith Mtn Lake but they were still just the peanut patch ones in a heater tray. The Walmart Neighborhood Markets seem to have the canned ones pretty often. The Cajun ones are 100x better than the original flavor. Other than that, you gotta beg someone going on a Carolina beach trip to bring them back for you. (Which I've done many many times)

Big BP fan here. I have never noticed them in gas stations north of the NC border, but I think the first truck stop gas station after you cross it on 95 has them. But I would guess that almost all gas stations, even deep in the south, use canned boiled peanuts for the same reason you state but they aren't bad (the "peanut patch" brand frequently). When I make them myself I just use a crock pot and raw peanuts and they're ready the next day.

Okay this thread has made me want to eat gas station peanuts. I've never wanted to eat gas station peanuts before... Or maybe I'm just high? 😏

Afraid I don't know how it works for non-CAC holders but there's a visitor center that could be called. You may also need to bribe some AIT students to straw-purchase them; you'll easily find them wandering about on weekends, teams of 2+, wearing camelbaks

I work for DoD. but not at that base, maybe that makes it easier. I'll see. Thanks

Closest I've gotten them was the shell at 13024 Blue Star Hwy, Stony Creek, VA 23882.

About 50 minutes from town.
