Bars, restaurants and cafes that are nicely decorated for Christmas?

Looking for an indoor space to go to on Thursday that has some nice Christmas decorations to take some photos in. Better if it has a Christmas tree. It can either be a bar/cafe area that has some nonalcoholic hot drinks in the evening, or a whole sit down restaurant.

The only place I can think of right now is Quirk Hotel. I know they have a lot of pink. This will be for a special woman who happens to like pink. Anyone know if the new Moxy hotel lets you in their bar area to have some drinks if you didn’t book a room?

Agreed if they’re open to the public again. During Covid (and last year) the area around the tree was only open to hotel guests. Anyone know?

Was there last week. The decor was fun, the drinks were good, the bartenders were grumpy.

Agreed. I thought the drinks were just ok. But service was awful and has been the past couple times now.

Really?!? After enjoying the experience so much in NYC, I was hoping Richmond might have a bar where I - more often than not - would somewhat regret spending my time and money solely because of the bar staff. Alas, after years of bar hopping from place to place with friendly and cheery staff, I gave up looking for a place with consistently cranky bartenders who take it out on the patrons.

This gives me hope.

Penny Lane used to decorate quite a bit for the holidays. Been a minute since I've been there but I'm sure they still do it.

Per their instagram, Cameo Cakery has lots of decor outside. Not sure about inside, I haven’t been in person yet since they decorated

I'm going to guess the answer: minimal effort and the bathrooms still smell like mold/mildew that will make you gag on entry -- not that masking them with cinnamon, pine or orange fragrances would make it any better.
