This is incorrect! You must be elected to serve in the House of Representatives. Governors can only appoint people to fill Senate Vacancies.

There will be a Special Election. Until that election occurs, the seat will be vacant.

This post is so wrong. Mary Bono Mack was Sonny’s widow, NOT Cher. Also Virginia is different from Florida. Minor detail but since states determine how elections work an important detail all the same.
