I'm sure the replies are going to be gold but seriously, where in Richmond can I get the best bra fitting? Macy's? Victoria's Secret?

I've never personally been but have heard Ruth, the owner, is the best from a lot of people!

I work for a company that’s a vendor for her company. We would come out for quarterly services and she is the rudest woman I’ve ever worked with. She may be sweet as pie to her paying customers but she treats everyone else like dog shit covered peasants.

This is the answer. She can look at you and tell you your size, spot on.

Never Victoria's Secret, their sizing is very limited. Blythe was great.

Victoria's secret's sizing is a joke. Their 34 D was too small for my (measured) 32 C chest (back when I tried them when I was a teenager).

Ms-Pamplemousse t1_j1irozs wrote

Yeah they just straight up don't have my size and told me I'm a 32 B, which is very wrong.

I tried to stay abreast of them but my interest is sagging.

Give r/ABraThatFits a gander too. Their bra calculator is great.

I used this to find my actual size, then can usually find good bras at Macy's or Dillards.

The correct answer is Blythe

I second this, especially if you need bigger cup sizes that traditional bra stores do not have. I learned so much about my size and how bras should fit from the lady I worked with at Blythe.

A woman came up to me at Kroger in Willow Lawn, many years ago, and handed me he card. She was a bra fitter at Dillards, apparently she could tell just looking at me in my clothes! Also, a woman came up to me in line at Costco once and told me if I came to her house that she would wax my eyebrows for $5. I guess that I am approachable with Caterpillar eyebrows and saggy boobs!

As weird as it is to have a stranger walk up to you and offer such services, I have to say that one of my best fitting experiences was at the Dilliard’s in Short Pump. I was having a lot of problems finding the right fit after having surgery. I started to get frustrated to the point of tears, and this sweetheart came up to me and offered to help. She was so understanding and kind, and I got the most perfect fit with her help. That damn bra was $75, but it was worth it. All I remember about that awesome lady was that she was a tall lady in her 40s with brown hair. Bless that woman!

Ruth (owner at Kiss and Make Up) is really great. Been there for many years & knows her stuff!!

I 1000% agree! Call first to make an appointment. Then treat yourself to new bras that fit perfectly. Ruth is so good at fitting and really cares about you not just making a sale.

I would recommend making an appointment for a bra fitting with Ruth at Kiss and Make Up. Once you know your correct size, you can shop there, at Blythe, or elsewhere. FWIW Kiss and Make Up carries some of the same brands as Blythe, but at a much lower price.

I was shocked at how relatively (comparatively?) affordable the bras were there. I was expecting to pay like $70+ and the bra I got there I think was $50. Still a lot but for a good bra that you know fits, not too shabby.

Edit: At Kiss and Make Up

Soma at Short Pump is great! I get all my bras from there and they also have great pjs lol

RemarkableStrength1 t1_j1isfkn wrote

Definitely second this! The pjs and lounge wear are amazing too. (I definitely miss the employee discount I got when I was working there though!)

I went there once and the employee barged in on me changing to “see how it fit.”

Never again

I personally prefer Blythe over Kiss and Make up. At Blythe, you can shop the racks at your leisure and they‘ll bring you several different types of bras while you’re in the fitting room. Kiss and Make Up had piles of merchandise all over and the owner, though knowledgeable, wasn’t as personable as I expected.

I agree. I like Blythe better. The owner of K&MU talked me into bras that ended up not fitting well. That said, both stores fitted me with the same size. I think the bras at K&MU are lower quality.

loulouhex t1_j1kxhxr wrote

Blythe was ok with fitting, but got real rude when I didn’t want beige-apparently there was no black, colors or patterns in the large sizes. Soma was helpful as was Nordstrom but that’s not a thing anymore.

Another vote for Short Pump Dillard’s. The ladies there are so kind and truly knowledgeable. I had a terrible experience at Blythe.
