City Hall will be open as a warming site on Saturday from 8am to 4pm and on Sunday from 8am to 4pm. People in need of a warm, indoor space can enter City Hall at the 9th Street entrance.

The overnight shelters aren’t usually open during the day so this fills that need

I’m just seeing that on Twitter and Rhodeway Inn is charging people extra deposit money if they are renting rooms for unhoused people (so don’t tell them that’s what you are doing)

As far as I’m aware the cold weather shelters from Commonwealth Catholic Charities and on hill street are open and separate from this daytime warning shelter. I would call 211 if there are specific shelter questions contact the Homeless Connection Line: (804) 972-0813
