We live in the Fan and all of sudden our water pressure dropped. I just checked out basement and nothing burst. I also overheard our neighbor calling someone about the same thing. Does anyone know if there is a water issue on the city side?

My water pressure on Kensington has been low for at least a month. There was a city leak and when it was finally repaired, the pressure was not the same.

I'm also on Kensington in a big complex. Around a few days ago management posted a note on every building's entrance saying they are aware of the issue and apparently it's effecting the neighborhood. The city has been contacted allegedly.

Do you mind saying which block you’re in? Just curious if we’re in the same one. 2600?

Would not be surprised if one of the mains burst with the sudden and significant drop in temperature over the last 3 days.

Talked to a city worker that was working the other day. Large areas of Richmond city water pressure may be slightly affected as the pipes can partially freeze hindering overall flow. However if in an apartment complex/townhouse /or even a home the main water line to and in the building, along with any number of the other distribution lines off of that is usually the culprit and needs time to thaw completely.

Was walking on Brown's Island around 400pm today and a water main under the Manchester bridge had burst. Water was flowing out like crazy. Probably other lines froze and burst causing drop in water pressure. My daughter called Public utilities to report it and they said they'd not gotten any other reports of the break

Just as a DP, I’m on N. Stafford and mine is the same as it was.
