Hey! I work at Helen's, and there is no exact date that we start taking the decorations down, since it is an extremely time consuming process. Even if they start coming down next week, there will still be plenty of lights still up until mid January or so.

I know it's a popular thing apparently to avoid actually speaking to the very people who can officially, more-accurately answer this question, but have you just tried contacting them directly by phone or Facebook or messenger pigeon?

I'm sure a quick call with this basic question will get you an answer that you can be mostly confident isn't just some random Redditor guessing or trolling you.

They don't open their doors to customers yet, yes.

But, there are people there getting ready to open and the owners/manager and/or social media reps are often keeping an eye on things and talking to people outside of those hours.

I've sent messages on FB to Alewife, Lewis Ginter, Byrd Theatre, VMFA, etc. well outside of official open hours and they've responded relatively quickly.

Most people who keep lights up after Christmas do so at least through the feast of the epiphany (Jan 6, 2023).
