Hey hey,

I'm attempting to learn the Armenian language but I have very limited exposure to speakers of the language. Is there anywhere in RVA where I may find Armenian speakers or would anyone be interested in speaking it with me?

Maybe check out the events calendar for St James Armenian Church? There's a decent-sized Armenian population in the west end and any of the Armenian folks I've ever met were very happy to share their culture. They do a big food festival every year there, too.

Ya, I'm in no way religious however so it would feel a bit awkward.

St James is super cool and chill. Any member who speaks the language would be more than happy to help you! No religion needs to be in the way.

Very true! I’m married to one!! We spoke our vows at St Mary’s 25 years ago and she and my son often volunteered at the church for events.

Ask on Russian speaking Richmond Facebook group? Reasonably certain a number of folks in there are multilingual.
