Like $10/month for water, $80/month electricity, and $10/sewer. I have an electric stove as well. But I've recently transferred my utilities over to my neighbor, who unknowingly pays them every month. It was quite simple really, just a matter of calling up the city and pretending to be said neighbor, and say you've bought the adjacent property.

I have a 950 sq ft single family home and electric is about $100/month, and water+sewage is about $40/month for 2 adults. Because I have an electric heat pump in stand-alone home, my electricity costs are probably higher than a townhome.

You’re utilities will be different from mine but just to give you an idea. I live in a 1,100 sq ft rancher. Water/sewer/trash is aprx 85$ per month. Electric aprx 50$ during winter and 200$ during summer. I also run gas from the city at aprx 100$ during winter and 30$ during summer.

I live in a 1900 sq foot interior townhouse in Henrico. My electric and gas is around $150/mo total, and sewer and water is $142 every other month. We keep the thermostat at 72 in the winter and 76 in the summer.

RVA has almost the most expensive water in the US. We charge Henrico half of what we pay as residents.

The gas and electric flip flop depending on the season. Heat to AC in a day is common.

Note that Henrico charges for water every other month, so you might want to set some money aside in the off months to pay the water bills.

Fun story: despite calling the City and telling them when I was moving in well in advance of buying the house, they continued billing the person I bought the house from for gas for a month and a half. Of course, 6 months later they added the amount back onto my bill.

It depends on your insulation, energy efficiency and usage. My 922 sqft condo ranges from $45-120/month for electric depending on the season. In my old 1000 sqft apartment, it was regularly $140-200ish. My water/sewer/trash are included in my HOA fees (and those are obscene for what the HOA provides), so I'm not exactly sure on that front.

I have a 1300sqft house, 3br, 2.5 baths.
Electrical - $100-200 depending on the season (which sometimes every other week) - I keep thermostat @ 69* year-round - NICE
Water - $60-80 every 3 months
Trash $65 month (single can)

Just like... Take this warning. DO NOT RENT HISTORIC HOUSES IN RICHMOND. The reason? They are drafty as all hell, your bills in the winter will be astronomical and you will still be cold. Me and some friends rented a few, and every time, our electric bill was almost as high as the rent in the winter. Rent in an apartment or a newer home for reasonable utilities.

50 dollars for electric sounds fantastic. 100 isn't bad at all. I pay 100 typically in my current place but the heat is paid through the landlord since it's a connected house (duplex).
