Birthday Dinner Recommendations

As tradition goes, I’ve waited until the week before my birthday to make any plans. I’d like to do a small, intimate dinner with my partner and a couple close friends and would love to hear recommendations. Ideally nothing more than $60-70/person before drinks + tax that would be open next Monday.

A few details about our group: fish/seafood isn’t a favorite, and we have a minor avocado allergy in our group, as well (so sushi is typically out of the question)

I just did a birthday dinner at Grandstaff and Stein and it was exceptional from the food to drinks and service. Really pleased. Didn’t expect the food to be as good as it was

You might try Stella’s, but because next Monday is the day after Christmas I think you may have a tough time getting in anywhere. I expect lots of families will be eating out that day and places are probably almost fully booked, especially given that most nicer restaurants aren’t usually open on Mondays anyway.

Yeah, that’s kind of my debacle every year! I’ve been meaning to check out Stella’s since moving here, I’ll have to check it out and see if they’ve got any availability

It's going to be hard since Christmas is being observed that day.

Normally on a Monday I'd say La Grotta, The Roosevelt, Stellas, or Mosaic. Double check to make sure they'll be open.

Unfortunately, neither of those places is open on Mondays unless something has changed.

Lehja has good availability for the day after Christmas on OpenTable, it looks like. Maybe the Peter Chang in Scott's Addition?
