I met these guys before they started out, and I will admit, I was skeptical. I mean, coffee shop sure, but coffee AND barbecue? What an odd concept. They had the biggest smiles on their faces and that look in their eye like they knew something that the rest of us didn't. They are very passionate about their product and it shows. They have done an amazing job.

Seconded. Any coffee shop that also sells barbecue is a winner in my book.

I miss the BBQ for brunch, but one more night with those Nachos makes up for it.

The only coffee shops I know about in Northside are The Smoky Mug and Stir Crazy. Are there others I'm forgetting about? Seems like more have closed than opened.

I'ma pour one out for Bright Spot this morning. It wasn't my favorite coffee joint but it was a nice change of pace for times when I needed it.

The Northside bicycle coop + volunteer-run education space Rag & Bones is moving to 2916 North Ave around new years and will have a worker-owned cafe in the new place.
