This might not be the one, but this is still par for the course here.

Every year around this time I start to think we’re not getting any snow, but then I’m proven wrong in February or March.

Yeah I've taken a few photos of snow covered daffodils and I'm seeing the stems/leaves sprouting up around the neighborhood.

We have a few thousand crocuses in our lawn and they started blooming a few weeks ago.. I'm slightly annoyed because it probably means we won't have a good spring showing. Daffodils are coming up everywhere too. It's too early.

It's definitely not unusual to have a big snow storm in late February or early March. I've been an educator for almost twenty years and I can think of at least a few times in my career we've gotten out multiple days for snow after Presidents Day. There was one big storm in early March 2009 I remember in particular that we were out like four days.

I like at least one good snow each year. It’s been a fairly boring and depressing winter.

I think it was Pete Humes who said (in the shortlived, but delightfully spicy, Brick periodical) "there are two things that journalists hone in on; fear, and weather, and it's almost ecstatic joy when they can combine them on a single topic..."

That's had space in my brain for a long time and I think about it periodically.

I'm hoping for snow at some point this winter. At least make it feel like this cold weather is worth it so I can make snowballs or a snow person or sled at least once this season.

But, so far, 2/10 does not give me hope that we'll see it next week.

In spite of that crazy couple of sub teens cold days, we’ve had a seeming mild winter so far.

I respect your courage in saying such an incorrect thing with such conviction.

As someone who works outside... he's 100% correct! Cold is easy to deal with. Just wear more clothes. Cold and snow means getting wet. That always sucks.

I was just reassuring my grandmother yesterday that I asked for snow for my birthday (2/9).
