I just went there last week for the first time. Some things were more expensive than goodwill but they had some really nice things. Definitely going back.

Hope Thrift on Patterson or there is also one in Midlothian. Great selection and fair pricing. Also West End Thrift on Broad - same deal. But check the hours on all - there are days they aren’t open. The Clothing Rack on Cary is also great.

That thrift store is an enigma. I went there about 6 months ago and was really impressed. Everything was 3-5 dollars and they had a great selection. I've been back to carytown probably a dozen times since, at various times and days of the week, and they're always closed. They're not on Google maps, and I don't think they have a website or Facebook page.
I'm not sure what 9 & 3/4 magic I need to get back in that place but someone let me in on the secret.

I've seen it open all of 3 times, and there is usually a line at the register or to get in the door. So it's probably announced somewhere...
There is also a sign that says they don't take donations. My spouse and I laugh "well, how do they get stuff then, buy it from Goodwill themselves?!?!"

reminder that fan tastic and family thrift are owned by the same parent and both pick up donations under the guise of veteran benefit with no trace back to the real, 100% for-profit stores.
they do have the sickest most consistently good selection ive ever seen of any thrift store, though. +/-

Tiny space in church hill -literally tiny as it’s in an old garage! Def mix of clothes and house stuff tho, not all clothes. Also The Clothes Rack on cary, mostly clothes and a smaller scale than a goodwill, probably cheaper and less curated than tiny space.
