It'll be a cloudy, mild day today.

I'll be stuck at work all day. What's going on with you folks?

Taking an appliance to the dump. It will be the first time leaving the house all week. Woot! Edit: the awesome lady at the transfer station told us to go down the street and get money for it. 19 bucks and a scratch ticket for our junk metal!

I left my house once this week to run to the nearest convenience store because I "needed" now&laters and Reese's. No, I want high, I just didn't want my upstairs neighbor judging me for not leaving the house...

My dad passed 9 years ago today. We’re going to stranges for plants and enjoying some of Mr. Nice’s finest with a good meal and movie tonight. I miss him everyday, but I know he’d be proud of me and loving the life I’m living.

Love you dad, miss you everyday

Work, which I adore, coming home tonight and eating a beautiful Persian dinner, then a date with Cocoa Krispies in a big bowl whilst watching Netflix. Off tomorrow, so I can stay up late. Ahhhhh, the simple things.

Cleaning out my storage unit, if anyone needs skis, shell casings, surfboards, reloading equipment, bodyboards, fins, or other stuff let me know. It's been explained to me that we don't "need" this stuff. And it's just "junk".

BiggerPhatterBoi t1_j68jrb4 wrote

If you don’t want the reloading equipment I’d be stoked to have it

Short boards, we moved from California and brought all our boards with us. I'll be at the unit in a fee hours, I can take a pic if you want.

From San Diego, Did you ever find a decent surf spot out here?

1

carbonlandrover t1_j68l4os wrote

I was in San Marcos, off the 78. My weekly routine was head down to Cardiff by the Sea, and head out at the state park across from the little Mexican restaurant, I can't remember the name. Often getting a ticket because I didn't have a parking pass. Then go get a tritip sandwich at the Seaside Market. They had fresh squeezed orange juice, $10 a half gallon, but let me tell you, that was THE best oj I ever had.

2

carbonlandrover t1_j68ldz5 wrote

How long ago did you leave?

1

J_Beyonder t1_j68m0z3 wrote

I've been out here in RVA a little over a year. My spot was around tourmaline and I sure do miss PB. VA Beach just seems flat all the time.

The Fuck Biden sign guy was there. I asked why he wanted to have sex with an 80 year old man and he said, "He's a pedophile!"

I asked if that was his favorite word this week.

I will pay someone 25 dollars an hour to stand next to this guy with a sign that says "THIS GUY WANTS TO".

ChuckBS t1_j68wtp7 wrote

So he’s into pedophiles, odd kink. But really, I just try not to engage with that dude. If he wants to waste his days then that’s his choice.

I’m trying to decide if one of those cubic mini wood burning stoves with the wall shield and a 3 inch flue pipe can work in my defunct fireplace. Anything that may help cut the cost of electricity and pay for itself in a few winters.

Finishing some housekeeping that's long overdue (while dad was in the hospital the bare minimum was getting done) and plotting on tons of organizing and decluttering in the upcoming weeks.

Tonight a friend is coming over to watch the wrestling ppv tonight with the husband. My role in this is to mock each match mercilessly, with bonus points for especially amusing zingers about individual wrasslers. It's kind of a tradition we have.
