Driving over the bridge from Tappahannock to Warsaw has to one of my favorite sunrises I've ever seen. The view plus the way the sun hits the water and the grasses. I know it's not RVA, but it's close enough and people forget the amazing difference of ecology within a 1 hr drive from us.

I’m from Northumberland county which is right next to Warsaw. I’ll have to agree both sunrise and sundown are spectacular!!!! And the star watching is out of this world

I used to run a route every now and then that would start in Calico, go to Kilmarnock, to White Stone over that insane bridge, past Saluda and then thru the back woods of King and Queen to West Point. Lot of driving, but really beautiful. Lots of bald eagles to be seen (saw 8 in a group one time chilling in a field). I especially enjoyed when the fields of yellow flowers (rapeseed is what the plant is called I believe) were blooming.

I can't believe I misspelled it. Lol. That old family grocery store was one of our customers. The owners were so nice. Yeah its a drive out there. Coming from Richmond in the early morning on 360, there was an endless stream of cars coming from the Northern Neck area heading to work. Glad I was going against the flow.

I appreciate this change and eat it whenever I'm in the area by going to Merroir.

Lol. I have never heard of Merroir. Looks like a nice view. Would make a great day trip for sure. Thanks for the recommendation, Danger.

They're the provider/farm/restaurant for Rappahannock. I'm not the biggest fan of their restaurant, but the oysters are on point.

Well they should be good if they have their own oysters beds.
