VCU’s clinic for substance use is called the Motivate Clinic, but I’m not sure they have inpatient facilities or just outpatient and can’t find that info on their site, so you may have to call and ask. I know they have a they have a lot of interdisciplinary stuff so you have people to work on the physical and mental health aspects (and even specifically women’s health) if that’s something you need. Im 95% sure they accept Medicaid, unless something changed recently.

I don’t personally know any others but there’s a website called FindTreatment.gov that’s for finding other facilities near you, specifically for substance abuse and mental health services. I can’t remember if they had a filter for in vs out patient but it may give you options of some places and hopefully their individual websites can provide you more info on insurance and treatment options.

Good luck, hope this helps!

The Motivate clinic is outpatient but they may have recommendations for inpatient treatment.

Thank you. I was pregnant last year and on Subs. After I lost the baby I relapsed and I've basically been fighting this ever since. I was in the motivate clinic at that time, but I just did my medical appointments there and got my meds from them. I didn't know they had other services!

I went to the OB Motivate clinic when I was pregnant and on suboxone. Dr. Tyson and Dr. Martin are the most empathetic and knowledgeable medical professionals I've come across in addiction medicine. I'm really sorry to hear about what you've gone through. I'm three years off heroin myself - if you ever want to chat, please reach out!
